It is ^p or ^l depending whether it is a Pilcrow or Linefeed symbol you are
seeing at the end of each line. Note that in the Find/Replace dialog, if you
click MORE, you will find a selection labelled SPECIAL which lists most of
the non-printing characters. (I never understood why it was necessary to
hide all the Find & Replace Options under the MORE button: there's more than
sufficient room on the smallest of screens to display the whole dialog box
without the need to obscure too much text.
