Just upgraded from 2000 to 2003. Now when trying to save attachments from an
email, it takes forever for Outlook to expand my folders (all data is stored
on a server I am mapped to). I was advised that this is a common occurrence,
and to make sure there are no unneeded or unused drive mappings. Most likely
it is trying to enumerate a drive that it cannot access or no longer exists.
Also, make sure the installation of Outlook 2003 is up to date, "Check for
updates".
I do have many drive mappings but they are all active and required. The only
updates I see are pertaining to junk email filters and one security issue.
Suggestions to improve performance would be appreciated.
