Folder fomats - OL2003

Using Outlook 2003

I never really got around to asking about this before, but now I'm
wondering. My default personal folders file, Outlook.pst, is set up with
the newer 2003 format. I see, though, that the folders for the IMAP
accounts I've created are 97-2002 formats.

Is there any particular reason that OL created those PST files in that way?

It's a limitation of the acct type.

Nice links in your sig, by the way. I knew about Slipstick (I remember when
that site was first started. I think Sue was living in Russia or something
like that.), and You Had Me at EHLO, but didn't know about the Outlook-tips
site. Maybe I'll take a peek at that newsletter for a week or two as well

It's a limitation of the acct type.

Outlook 2007 lifts that particular restriction, IIRC.
