Folder Sync skipping pdf files

R

In Groove 3.1. Created a new shared folder, empty, on computer 1. Go to
computer 2, log into account, download the new space. Now we have empty
folder on both computers. Add a text file on computer 1, appears on computer
2. Add a pdf file on computer 1, does NOT appear on computer 2.

Checked folder Synchronisation Properties on computer 1, under status tab it
shows the PDF file with a message "files of this type are not synchronised".
How can I tell groove to sync pdf files and why would it think I would NOT
want to?

What gives?

Hi Rodney,

I have performed a test on your issue. I can sync the .pdf files in my
workspaces. Based on my experience, the following files and file types cannot
be shared in a file sharing workspace: Any file that has a file name that
starts with a ~ character; all files with gfs, tmp, bak, sav, or lnk
extension. Additionally, files with the following attributes cannot be shared
in a file sharing workspace: Hidden, System, Temporary, or Offline.

Therefore, please check whether your .pdf file meets any items of the
information above.

If not, please check Folder Synchronization Properties -> General tab ->
Files and file extensions excluded from synchronization option. Is the .pdf
listed in the list? Let me know it.

In addition, please check on your 2nd computer to see whether you have
installed the Adobe Reader on it. Also, let me know the size of the .pdf file.

Thank you.
