I have a public folder of tasks that are fronted by a custom form. Thru
some playing with the folder view and different views, I have discovered
that I can change field values in the task, by dragging and dropping the
task to different places within the view. For example, I have a view of the
folder that is "Opened by Assigned To". I have figured out that I can drag
one of Sally's tasks into Billy's view and the tool tip that follows the
mouse is something to the effect of "Change Assigned To to Billy". Wow!
Cool! But the functional department manager wishes to know if I can turn
this type of dragging and dropping to change task values off. If there's
not a way, then oh well, but if I can, he'd really like that. My fear is to
do that, I'd have to change some internal Exchange settings that I don't
really know if I want to change--'cause I don't want an Exchange crash to be
blamed on me.
Thanks for your help in advance!
