Folders Disappear Without Confirmation

Processor: Intel

I started using Entourage in August 2008 and I have had 3 folders disappear without a trace.

How can I set it to ask me if I want to delete an entire folder before it deletes it? I have already lost some very important files!

More details:
This happens without any the system asking me for any confirmation as to whether or not I want to delete it.

I think that the folders may disappear if I hit the delete key by mistake. I did this with a test folder and it deleted without asking for confirmation.

I did look there, and the folders are not in the deleted items either. I also used spotlight to search for them, and I looked for them in the Trash folder, but none of the files were there either.

I have never seen files disappear so completely without any request to confirm that I want to permanently delete them.

disappear without a trace.

Are these folders part of an IMAP account? Entourage (or the server) has
a tendency to sometimes unsubscribe the folders.

Select the IMAP account in the folder list on the left and you should
see a list of folders on the right. If you see gray folders then those
are Unsubscribed. You can right-click or Control-click the Unsubscribed
folders and Subscribe.

Hope this helps!
