Follow link to bookmark in doc - how do you get back?

In an upcoming report, I will be setting links from references in the doc to
the table at the end of the doc containing the full text of these
references. The way I know to do this is to create a bookmark in the table,
and then set a hyperlink in the report body to that bookmark. Since I've
got well over a hundred to do, it's a natural candidate for a macro!

Once the reader clicks that link and goes to the table, though, there's no
easy way to get back to the previous place in the doc, is there? So I need
to code my macro to set a second set of bookmark-and-links going back from
the table to the doc paragraph?

If each of the tables has a heading, or the first cell is formatted with a
heading style, you can use Insert > Hyperlink to create a reference to it:
select 'Place in this document' from the list on the left of the Hyperlink
dialog. Word will bookmark the target automatically, and insert a Hyperlink
field to link to it.

Press Alt-Left to go back.

Hi Ed:

If you jump from a hyperlink to a bookmark, you can jump back to the
hyperlink by clicking the 'Back' button on Word's Web toolbar.

Thanks for chiming in. What I'm trying to accomplish is a "fool-proof"
navigation system for those who know less about Word than I do, and care
even less about learning to use it. These are people who know enough to
click a hyperlink and go to a new place in the doc, but probably don't know
about Alt+Left Arrow or that the Web bar has a Back button! So I'm either
going to have to create double links, or convince them not to do this thing!
