Follow-up flags

I am trying to get follow-up flags to work with my emails
from my Sent folder. The follow-up flag option only
appears to work with items in my Inbox or those I email to
other individuals.

Can anyone confirm this?

I would like to flag my sent item email to others as a
reminder to myself in case an individual does not complete
the task which I asked him/her to complete.

I am currently using Outlook 2000.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks for posting this issue!
I am having the same problem with MS Outlook 2002 running in Windows XP
Professional.
I have confirmed that follow-up flags only work with items in my Inbox, but
do NOT work with messages moved to a sub-folder of my Inbox.
If you, or anyone, finds a solution, please post it here.

Thanks, again!

Just found our answer; reminders are NOT designed to work with subfolders.
Oh, well.

OL: No Reminder for Flagged Messages

This article was previously published under Q180672

SYMPTOMS

You may not receive a reminder for flagged messages that have a past-due
date and time.

CAUSE

The message is not in your delivery Inbox. Outlook monitors only four
specific folders for reminders: Inbox, Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks.

MORE INFORMATION

Flagging a message is a quick way to either mark a message for you to follow
up or mark a message with a request for someone else. If the flag has a
reminder set, you receive a reminder at the due time.

When the recipient receives a message with a flag, a comment on the purpose
of the flag appears at the top of the message. If you set a due date and
time, this also appears. When the date and time is due, you receive a
reminder.

If you move the message to another folder, the due date and time will pass
without a reminder. If you move the past due message back into your delivery
Inbox folder, the reminder immediately opens a reminder notice.
