following automatic update I cannot open e-mail messages

I have a computer running windows 2000 pro and Outlook express 6
Following an automatic update from microsoft, when i try to read a message (
read or unread) I get a message "Address book failed to load. Outlook express
is incorrectly Configured.

Any solutions?
