Font Changes By Itself

Files that were previously saved using the Bernhard Modern font are now
coming up with Times New Roman when opened.

The default font and style are still set at Bernhard Modern.

What's going on?

One idea behind this is that the font might has something
wrong with it, have you switched to a new computer, or
upgraded word? Does this happen in other programs?

The most likely reason is a change of selected printer to one which doesn't
support the font - Word always bases its layout on the current printer. This
does commonly happen when you open a file on another computer (because the
default printer is often different) but can equally apply on the same
machine if you last worked on the file with a non-default printer selected.
