font changes to corrupted characters

I have a word 2003 document that I wrote in one font. When I tried to change
to a different font, I get corrupted characters and no text. I used the
CityBluePrint font to make my document. I have tried sending it to a
different computer and changing the font, but the same thing happened. I
tried saving it as .rtf, same corrupted characters. I tried saving it with
Open Office and then changing the font, but got the same corrupted character
problem. I tried changing different fonts, like Arial, Times New Roman,
Comic Sans and still corrupted font.
Any suggestions that you have for me to fix this problem would help!

You are not the first user to report problems with CityBluePrint. You might
want to post in the microsoft.public.word.printingfonts NG for better
assistance.
