I would like the result "CHECK" in this IF Statement to
be Bold and Red. Is it possible ??

IF(G8=D8, "OK", "CHECK")

This isn't an answer to your question, merely an 'adding'
to it; I would like to be able to add up the values in a
column which are in a particular font colour - does anyone
know how to do this and what the formula would be?

Select the cell with your formula.

Format>Conditional Formatting>Cell value is: equal to ="check"

Click the Format button and select the Font color and Bold.
