Font Colors

Excuse me for being a top-posting newbie ( I know how some NG regulars think
of themselves in some kind of a pecking order). Here's the deal: my
Microsoft Word 97 package allows only a handful of font colors which I would
like to expand to the color palette that is available in my computer in a
few other areas. Can you help me do this? thx

Come on..., someone knows the answer to this question. If you can add new
fonts to be used by Word 97, my guess is that the rainbow of colors
available in later versions can be somehow affixed to 97. They obviously
designed this shortcoming mindful of what 'improvements' they held in store
for the future. It's one of the reasons why I'm mystified that polls show
that the public holds Microsoft in very high esteem. They do their best to
prevent you from doing a lot of things with their software, and it's that
attitude that irritates me.

When you upgrade to Word 2000, you'll have 24-bit custom color for
text.
Otherwise, you're stuck with the 16 choices (not all of them even
"colors")
that Word gives you--UNLESS you can use WordArt, which also allows
24-bit
color.
