Hello,
I've had Office for Mac: 2008 for a while now, but I tend not to use it
because it is so clumsy compared to the last version. However, I have
recently discovered a bit of an issue with a bunch of my fonts in Word 2008.
I have over 500 true type fonts on my Mac (they are in the correct Fonts
library). When I go to change the font I go up to the font pull down to
change the font. All of the fonts show up correctly in the WYSIWYG pull
down, but Word does not change the font to the one I have asked for. It
seems to be changing them to some other basic font.
So, I pull up Font Book to take a look at the fonts to see if something has
gotten corrupted. I even re-downloaded a few just for good measure. All
looks good until I see the section on Office Compatible Fonts. Out of my
over 500 fonts it tells me that ONLY 78 are compatible with MS Office for Mac
2008.
These fonts were all compatible with the last version of Office, so why
aren't they now? And how do I get them to work with the current version?
Thank you.
