Font/Display Issue?

Hi:
There are 3 PCs. and I installed Word 2000 on all, three.

Upon typing on each of three pcs., ... one pc. at a time, I
noticed there has characteristic difference among three.
Two PCs, XP and Vista respectively has identical, in
regard to 'Size of Letter' which is 'thick and bold-type,'
however one PC with XP has 'thin and non-bold' type,
even though I set '10'/Size along with 'New Roman' on
three PCs.

Is it because each PC. has different template that causing
this difference/issue?

If does, is there a way for me to set identical display
as to Font of '10pt' upon typing?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Check that the odd PC has not been set to use Draft Fonts under Word, Tools,
Options. Another possible cause is a different printer driver. Finally, you
may have ClearType enabled on the two 'good' PCs but not on the odd PC.

Could finally be a missing font (or different font substitution) on the one
machine.

I don't think there is a font "New Roman", (if you didn't really mean "Times
New Roman") so it might be the font substitution...
You can check that in "Tools > Options >Compatibility > Font substitution".

Klaus
