font/format change

i have a pasted object in a ppt mac 98 file that everytime i try to open
with the ppt mac X changes the font and the complete indentation
format. how can i control that? i need the original format.

Start by making sure that the font used in the original object is available to
PPT Mac X. Even if it's on the same computer as 98, 98 would be running under
Classic - if I understand it correctly that means it'd have access to a
different set of fonts.

Alternatively, choose Edit, Copy then Edit, Paste Special and choose a bitmap
format; that converts the object to a picture that won't require any fonts.
