Font in Text Form Field

I have made a letter with both Text Form Fields and Drop-Down Form Fields. The Drop-Down Form Fields retain the Times New Roman font when I use the document as a template. The Text Form Fields do not, reverting back to Microsoft Sans Serif.

I have changed the default font for the document. I have saved the template after saving each Text Form Field showing in Formatting Palate as set to Times New Roman; however, when using the template, the font always reverts back to Microsoft Sans Serif. It is very annoying. The only way to get the correct font, Times New Roman, is to start typing into the field and then back spacing and starting over again. Only then does the field display text as Times New Roman.

I would appreciate any help getting the Text Form Field to display Times New Roman without the additional typing.

Thanks.

Before anything else you need to confirm that both Office & OS X are fully
updated, that Disk Permissions have been Repaired & that the Mac has
recently been restarted rather than simply allowed to sleep for days on
end... The web forum interface doesn't prompt for that level of detail & it
isn't stated in your post. It's pointless to pursue any problem unless those
conditions have been established. At least it will level the playing field
even though it most likely will not resolve the issue.

Also, there are a few unclear points in your wording:

What do you mean by "use the document as a template"? Have you actually
saved the file as a template (.dotx) or not? *Documents* & *Templates* are
completely different file types.

How have you "changed the default font for the document"? Documents don't
have a default font. Have you used Styles to manage your formatting?

Are the Text Form Fields in Table Cells or have you simply inserted them
into the text of the file?

If you can provide a more detailed description of exactly what you've done &
how you've gone about it I'm certain that the problem can be resolved.
