Font is changing when editing a cell

Can anyone tell me why on some sheets in 2007 font size is getting very large when editing a cell, I.E. color, etc. It doesn't do this when I copy the sheet into its own workbook. If I F2 or dbl-click the cell it returns thefont to the default and not the format I had. It only occurs on some cells. Thanks in advance. Conditional, themes nor macros are used.
