FONT jaggies in PC version compared to MAC version.

Another question. I created a slide presentation on MAC and looks
great. But when I view it on a PC the font (which is just basic
ARIEL) looks a bit jagged and spotty.. really just curved letters like
O, S, etc. Also italics look bad too.

Any reason for this? Are PCs just not as good as displaying fonts
smoothy?

Hi Gregg,

The reason is that MacOSX is better than Microsoft Windows at displaying
just about everything - especially fonts. This document explains why
people should use Macs instead of PCs when it comes to using text:

If you want a dramatic comparison increase the zoom control to 400% on a
Mac and then try the same document on a PC, or print a document on a
large format printer and you'll immediately see why Windows PCs are not
a good choice for these purposes.

It brags about "broad language support, including" and a whole list of languages
that are tricky to support. The following illustration, showing a character from
each, is badly bitmapped, almost to the point of illegibility, suggesting that
there's a fly in this particular jar of ointment.

Likewise the illo of the effects possibly with the typography panel.

Not the fault of the OS, of course, but the document deserved better illustrations.
