My father-in-law is trying to use an Arabic font in Office XP, but when he
tries to type in Word, the characters come out in English even though the
Font box shows "Arabic" as he types. The font shows up properly in the
Windows Character Map, and he can cut and paste the Arabic script from Char
Map into Word, but then when he types again, it gives English chars rather
than Arabic. I then had him go to Add/Remove programs and use "Update
Features" for Office, but under the "Office Tools" branch, where my 2000
install shows an "International Support" box, his XP install skips from "HTML
Source Editing" to "Language Settings Tool." Is this where the problem lies?
What gives? Both of us are using Win XP SP2 with a US keyboard setup and
