font pilot???

I just posted about downloading free fonts. In my search I came upon
offer of 'font pilot'. CAn anyone explain briefly the use of this?

FWIW, I *never* use Shareware or Freeware rated any lower than 4-star,
seldom less than 5-star. Especially when it comes to fonts - tampering with
them can cause all sorts of problems if you don't know exactly what you're
doing... And sometimes even if you do know

Also, OS X provides you with a font manager - Font Book - which provides all
most people need.
