Font problem

All of a sudden, in typing new Word documents, I'm getting a large and bold
font although my regular settings haven't changed. Any suggestions?

Are you sure that View, Zoom is still set at 100%? If it is, then what
happens if you start Word in Safe Mode. From Start, Run, type in

winword /a

and press enter. What happens then?

Thanks Terry. For some reason it was set at 99% instead of 100%; changing it
back did the trick.
