font problem

Hi guys

I have created a PPT which uses some regional Fonts of Type .PFM. Now i need
to give this PPT in a CD and make it Autorun.I created the PPS and written a
batch file to copy the fonts to the Font Folder and run the PPS...But the
Fonts in the PPT is not appearing ..It works if i restart the PC..coz the
Font get refreshed..I tried writing a VB application that uses the
AddFontResource,Sendmessage API's But doesn't work..How can i Update the
Fonts without restarting ..Any Suggestions from anyone...

I don't know the answer to this, but would suggest that you use TT fonts
instead if possible.

For example, and this may or may not be important to you, Win2000 and later can
use PostScript fonts (which is what these are) natively but earlier versions
can't. They'd need ATM installed before they could use the fonts, and simply
copying the fonts to the font folder wouldn't work.

Do you install both the PFM and matching PFB files? Both are needed, I'm
pretty sure.

There are also legal issues. Normally you're not permitted to distribute fonts
this way unless the license specifically permits it.
