I have encountered a most puzzling situation with one of
my Access databases. It has been running now for several
years and except for a few report modifications
occasionally has remained consistently the same. The
department using the database also uses another program
which was not created with Access. I don't know what
program is used to develop it. But after they installed
an update to the other program this week the fonts were
changed in my Access databases. I have a title on the
main menu that now the first and the last letters are cut
off. On one of my data entry screens, the user is
prompted for a date which is then entered automatically
each time they create a new record. When the date is
automatically entered into the new record, the month, 11,
shows up as a "L". I have verified the fonts in the
options in Access, and I have verified that they are using
small fonts in Windows. But we have not been able to
resolve the problem. The data is storing correctly, but I
cannot seem to get the display to work properly.
Suggestions anyone? I might also mention that I
originally developed the database with Access 2000. When
the department using the database received their new
computers they had Access XP. I have verified that the
database runs correctly on my computer under either
version. It is only on the computers in the department
using the database where the problem can be seen.
