font removal

I recently downloaded a "trial version" of Adobe
Pagemaker. I was asked to make a font substition for a
mission font. I chose formal436BT. The next time I
booted my pc, formal436BT was missing and I was asked to
make another substition. Now, formal... is not found in
the fonts file, is not used in any previously saved
documents, and when I try to install it, I get an error
message:Formal436BT (True Type)font is already installed.
To install a new version, first remove the old version.
I have found no way to "remove the old version, it is not
listed even with a file search. Please advise.

What version Windows are you using?
Microsoft TweakUI has a font folder repair utility. This is for XP
