Font resolution when exported

I am attempting to convert a business card created in
Publisher 2003 to something that a printer can use to
print the cards. I have tried every Save As file type at
300 DPI, and while the images come out OK the text does
not come out at 300 DPI. All the text is jagged and not
suitable for printing. I have attempted to use the MS PS
printer, but it does not have a 3.5" x 2" paper size so
the resulting file contains a 8.5 x 11 sheet with
multiple cards.

How can I convert my pub file to TIF or PS so that it can
be printed at 300 DPI?

I just converted a business card at 300 dpi and saved it as a tif. The text was not
jagged when printed. Are you inserting the .tif back into Publisher and printing? It
printed well from Publisher, Corel and Word. Can you use a PDF format? Does your
commercial printer have Publisher? It could be the font choice.

I created the card in Publisher from scratch, and it
contains a single tif file with my company emblem. It
also contains text boxes with my name, address, etc. I
use Save As and select Tif and 300 DPI. If I pull this
file into Word or any other program and print it, the
text is not as crisp as it is when I print directly from
Publisher. The edges are slightly jagged/fuzzy when
compared to the publisher printout. However the company
emblem is perfect, so it only seems to be related to the
text.

I did print it as a pdf, which works fine. There are
other reasons why I can't use this type of file, but it
would work if I could.

When you are printing text as small as is on a business card you are going to have
resolution issues. Are you using a laser? As I said in the earlier post, it printed
quite well for me.
Do a Print Screen, paste it into Paint or some other Photo editing program, crop off
the parts you don't want and save again as a .tif.
