Take it easy
I use a Tamil (Indian Language) font, Mylaiplain which used to work
fine before (in versions before 2002). In the newer versions of Word
(2002 and above), when I set the font to Mylaiplain and start typing,
the font reverts to Times New Roman.
But if I select some text and change the font, it changes as expected.
Also I tried changing the default font to Arial and still the fonts
revert to Times New Roman only. This is very frustrating and couldn't
use Word to type a new document.
I still have an old version of Word in another PC and it works like a
charm. I would like to solve this problem in the newer version. Anybody
knows a solution?
Mylaiplain is a TTF and it works find in Wordpad (switching between an
English font and Mylaifont).
