Font size for emails - problem

I am using Outlook 2003 with a PC having Windows System 7.

For the last 2 days, all of the sudden, when I type an email, the font
size is very small, much smaller than it usually is. I use arial,
size 12.

When I send an email, the recipient gets the email, and the font size
is OK. The problem is just when I write the email and an viewing it.

If I change the size to 16, the size is larger and is viewable to me,
but the recipient gets an email with the size 16.

Anyone else have any experience with a problem like this? If so, I
would appreciate any help.
