Font size keeps dropping down

For some reason, Word keeps randomly dropping the font size on my styles.
When I go to edit text (maybe one of every 5-7 times or so) it will drop the
text I'm typing down 1 or 2 font sizes, despite keeping the style.

It's not unique to a single style or font type. If I reapply the style it
corrects it, as does just changing the font size. As you might imagine, it is
incredibly frustrating. It started with Woird 2003 and now seems worse in
2007.

I even went so far as to set up a new template from scratch, but it keeps
doing it there too. I reinstalled Word, still no go.

Anybody else run into this? I'm kind of desparate, this is incredibly
annoying and time consuming. Thanks in advance for any help!

Are you perhaps inadvertently pressing one of the ShrinkFont keyboard
shortcuts?

Or perhaps you have the Automatic Update checkbox enabled for the style so
that when you have made a font size change, the it has updated the style
automatically.
