This is largely a "display" issue.
No computer display is as accurate as a printout. To see what you have
"really" got, print the document. Chances are, the printout will be pretty
close...
If not, ensure that you use the *Microsoft* versions of the fonts that you
choose. Particularly on the Macintosh...
There is quite a difference between the way a Mac and a PC render fonts.
Microsoft supplies fonts with Microsoft Office that are designed to match
the PC equivalents as closely as possible. You could argue that there are
better looking versions of the fonts around than the ones that Microsoft
supplies. However, the Microsoft ones are specifically hinted to match
their PC equivalents.
However, while you will get it "close", you won't get it "perfect".
You should also check that you are NOT using "Justified" as your Alignment
setting in Microsoft Word. If you are, that's where the spaces are coming
from: when you justify text, Word adds spaces to make the ends of the lines
align.
Hope this helps
Document ofrmatted in Word for PC Office 2003 when opened in Mac Office 2004
Word puts spaces between the titel font reformatting spacing in a text box.
No setting I have found solves the re-format issue. Pages of Mac OS X opens
the original PC doc fine.
I need some help.
