font style in fields

I am using 2 fieldS as follows:

{ASK HIS "HIS/HER/THEIR RELATING TO THE DEFENDANT(S)" \D "
" \O }{HIS} (THIS IS IN BOLD AND CAPS WHICH WORKS OUT FINE IN THE DOC)

BUTwhen i use the following later on in diffrent parts of the doc it still
remains in bold when i want it in regular

{IF {MERGEFIELD DEFENDANT2NAME}<> "" "s" "" }{HIS \*lower}


can anyone help

See the Mac Word help topic "Format (\*) field switch". Add either
\Charformat or \MERGEFORMAT to the HIS field.
