Font style in Normal view doesn't always match Print preview vie

Solid fonts in normal view sometimes look differently on the screen in
publiisher and in excel... some of the cells that I have the background font
in black appear white unless I print preview and then they appear blacked out
(the original intention)
In both situations the files print out ok but do not appear the way they are
supposed to be in normal view- only in print preview. Everything else is
normal.

Please Help
