Font Turns Into Squares & Boxes, HELP!

Greetings,

While using Microsoft Word XP, more and more we are
experiencing a problem with the text in word. When
scrolling through a typed document, all of a sudden text,
whether it is one paragraph, three or how many ever, it
turns into squares and a bunch of jibberish. We have
tried converting it back into different readable fonts,
but with no success. Is this a problem with an update, or
something wrong with Microsoft Word, or what?

Are you sure someone on your network hasn't got a virus. This is a typical
symptom of several viruses of a few months ago that completely scrambled the
contents of doc files whilst still leaving the structure intact (file size,
headers, etc.).
