Font width

Dear all ,

I typed Simplified Chinese and English characters in same
Office 2003 word documents . However , the font widths of two set of
characters are not equal , it makes the formating of my documents be
difficult. Are there any options can set to make their width be equal?

Office 2003 is a Windows product and this is a Macintosh newsgroup.

Hi Stanley,

I'm not sure, but it seems that woth non-proportional fonts (say MS Mincho),
Chinese characters take up as much space as two latin characters?

With proportional fonts, I don't see why you'd want to align *all*
characters horizontally... Maybe a table, or tab stops, would be
appropriate?
