fonts bitmapping

I use MS Word 2001 for Mac and some fonts (most of them) bitmap while
they work fine in my other programs. What gives?? Any help please!!!!!

Not certain I can help, but do need more info to try.

Is this happening with all fonts or just certain ones? Which ones?
What type of fonts are affected (TrueType, PostScript, OpenType, etc.)?
When you say "bitmapped", do you mean they look jagged on screen rather
than having smooth edges?
Is that true when you print or just on screen?

Have you dowloaded & installed all available updates for Word 2001?
I'll be happy to offer any suggestions|:>)
