Fonts Do Not Display/Print

I have been using Office XP and Windows 2000. Suddently
fonts do not display or print correctly in Word 2002.

For example, I use Times New Roman a lot. I can see the
four TTF files for Times New Roman in my Fonts folder, but
Word cannot display or print Times New Roman as normal
face or bold face; in italic and bold-italic it seems OK.
I have very few fonts that will display or print correctly.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
