Fonts from other packages

I have adobe illustrator on my pc, running XP Home SP2, with Office 2003. I
have fonts which have installed with Illustrator, which I can use in
Illustrator, but they are not visible in my fonts list in Office, nor are
they visible in my Fonts window in Control panel. However, on my OTHER pc,
which I believe has the same configuration (desktop not laptop, black not
silver (that's a JOKE!)) I CAN see the Illustrator fonts when using word...
Any ideas????

Hi Tamsin,

In File=>Print in Office what is the default printer selected? The fonts available to use in Word are, in part, driven by your
printer capability.

What are the font types shown in the control panel that are not being shown? There are some 'Open Type' type font collections that
may not appear. Do they appear in apps other than Office or Adobe on your PC?

Hi Bob

My default printer is a Dell 5100 cn laser printer. It is the same default
printer for both PCs although one is directly connected (desktop) while the
laptop connects via the network. The driver software is the same on both
machines.

The missing fonts are True Type and Open Type - Myriad font family.

The laptop is also running Nemetschek Vectorworks and that can't see the
fonts either...

Thanks for your help!
