Fonts getting smaller each time email is forwarded or replied to

All,

I am noticing a strange phenomenon:

Each time I reply to, or forward and email, the font size of the message
body gets smaller and smaller. Any ideas?

Platform: Powerbook 15"
OS: OS X 10.4.3
App: Entourage 11.2.1 (0510004)
Usage: connecting to Exchange 2003 as an authenticated domain user

I've got the opposite problem with a couple of correspondents -- the
type keeps getting larger. Wonder if the cause could be the same.

One thing I did that seems to have bypassed the problem is switched my email
type to Plain Text from HTML in the "Preferences ... Compose ... Mail
Format" configuration.

I would still like to correct the problem and allow HTML email composition.
