Fonts in a Mail Merge

Julie

I have been working with a mail merge document and am attempting to have this letter read to have a customer's car listed by year, make, and model, for example 2000 Honda Civic. Right now, it is retaining the font I have chosen for only some of these fields once merged, then it changes some others to Courier New. I have tried changing the font in the Excel sheet, checking the box to retain formatting during update, and I cannot get it to work. It also seems to be particularly changing ones that have a space in them, for example a 2002 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado, where "1500 Silverado" is all in the same cell in Excel.

Any suggestions

In Word:
- Press Alt+F9 to display the field codes
- Add the \* CharFormat switch to the fields having this problem
- Be sure to remove any \* MergeFormat switches you find
- Alt+F9 again to hide the field codes
