I just upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003 now printed documents in all of
the new applications have distorted/double lettering. They look like they
went thru the printer twice and hasn't lined up. It appears to happen
primarily when using black ink.

Thanks. I just downloaded and installed new drivers from the microsoft
website and nothing's changed. Still double lettering (maybe "bleeding"
fonts) when printing a doc in black ink.

You don't get printer drivers from Microsoft - you get them from your
printer manufacturer's website. (I gotta admit I have *no idea* what you've
downloaded from MS.)
