Fonts Messed Up

I just installed Office 2008 and as a result all the fonts I see in various applications are all screwed up. In Safari, I have letters being displayed on top of each other and all run together. How do I fix this?

Sounds like a font cache problem. A hard reboot should reset both the
System and Office caches.

Post back if that doesn't fix the problem

This sounds like the garbled text issue - means the Microsoft font cache files need to be cleaned.

Do this with FontExplorer, OnyX or FontFinagler: delete the system and application font caches. Restart and the problem should be fixed.

Also try trashing the com.microsoft.browserfont.cache, and the
tasmanbrowser.cache, which will be found in your ~/Library/Caches.

I'm having a another odd issue with Office 2008 and fonts. I have verified the problem on MBP17 and MBP15 both running Office 2004 and Office 2008 (set as default).

Text (particularly at low sizes 10 pt or less) seem to spontaneously become fuzzy and it I move some items around on the screen it clears up. It just started happening after installing Office 2008.

It is happening in applications other than MS Office (including Firefox) though mostly in Office.
