Word 2000.
Certain ttf fonts, e.g. specialized language fonts, display and print as a
series of boxes. The fonts work on other computers with the same Office
version. If I place the cursor within the series of boxes and type, the fonts
display correctly, but the boxes remain. I can fix the problem by saving the
document as a web page, re-opening it in Word, and re-saving it as a
document. I have tried a repair of Word, a repair of the fonts folder, and
uninstalling and re-installing the fonts. The problem always occurs with
imported documents, also created with Word 2000.
The OS is Windows XP, upgraded from Millennium.
Thanks
