Fonts problems

I have created a price list using Publisher 2003 & linking the tables from
Excel 2003 (the same happens if the tables are imported).

Most fonts are Arial 8 and Arial 8 Bold

when I create an Acrobat document (Acrobat 6 - AdobePDF printer) with
embedded fonts, all the font spacing becomes irregular, which looks very
unprofessional & untidy: letters stuck together or very wide in the same
word.

with fonts like Verdana the problem does not happen (but Verdana is a wider
font and not suitable for my work)

can you advise a solution

Select the text box with the Arial font, tools, commercial printing tools, fonts,
Arial cannot be embedded whereas Verdana can... This could be the problem. Might read
the font help in Adobe...
