Fonts shrinking

Terry

Some how, I have enabled a feature that auto sizes the text size to the
width of the window. I will sometimes make the width of Word narrower
to see if I have a carriage return at the end of the line or if the
words will wrap.

Now, for some reason, when I narrow the size of Word the text gets
smaller and doesn't wrap.

I hope this is a clear enough explanation of my problem.

TIA

If you turn on your non-printing characters, you'd know if you had a
carriage return within the text.

I do understand that is an option. My problem is that I can not reduce
the size of the window without also reducing the size (appearance of
size) of the text. The font will still say 12 point but if I make the
window much smaller the text gets much smaller.
If you turn on your non-printing characters, you'd know if you had a
carriage return within the text.

You don't have to reduce anything, just turn the NPCs on.

Please, forget about showing a carriage return. That was never my
problem. My method was different, not wrong.

What have I done to cause my text to get smaller if I make the window
smaller? It is only in the viewing of the text size. The font size
stays 12 point.

Howdy,

PMJI, but...

Click on View | Zoom...

Some of the settings their display the font in proportion to
the window size, and others preserve the size of the font as
it is displayed.

If you have page width checked, the size of the font will
change in proportion to the size of the window (the
situation you now have...)

If, instead, you check Text Width, the font size will remain
unchanged as you manipulate the size of the window.
