Fonts Suddenly Not Available

I'm not sure if any updates were made to my machine last night as I
have it set up to do it automatically.

Last night Office Mac: Word was working fine. After starting up and
opening Word today suddenly a ton of my fonts aren't available! It's
messing up my bullets, as I used Wingdings and suddenly that font set
isn't available for use! Why are my fonts all gone, and suddenly a
bunch of Japanese ones I didn't have before are there? I made sure all
my settings are still for America - I made sure to repair permissions
and made sure all my fonts are validated and still - I can't get fonts
in my Font Book to show up for use in Word, where yesterday they were
all there working fine and today, not!
