Footer Filenames not working

Hi,
Quick question, one of the users I support, is having trouble with footers,
she wants to put the name of the file into the footer. However when she
selects to input the filename field for the footer, it comes up with the
formatting FILENAME‪‪ which has a square box on each side. If you can help
out with whats happened and how to fix it I'd appreciate it alot.
