Footer form fields do not show up correctly

I first noticed this in my footer where I had a Filename and Path form
field, but am noticing it now with all form fields no matter their
location in the document.

In the case of the Filename and Path form field, on the Print Preview,
Print Layout, and on the hard copy printout, it prints this: {FILENAME
\P} instead of the filename and path. Other form fields are similar.

I am stumped. What's the fix?

Go to Tools | Options | View and deselect Field codes. That should do
the trick for you.

I just realized what it was this morning, and I had forgotten about
