I'm editing a document for an absent friend and cannot see how to "fix" this situation that she set up.

I've scanned all 125 posts that appeared to be relevant and didn't see a remedy.

Thanks in advance for your assistance w/ what must be a trivial matter.

Hi Lindsay:

It's by no means trivial, and it can be a bear to find and fix it.

First, you have to get "into" Section 1. That can be difficult, if the
document immediately begins with a section break.

Use GoTo (Command G) and specify Section 1, to ensure that you are in
Section 1.

Now, look in Format>Document ... To see what the margins are. Any margin
less that 1 cm is suspect: many printers will not print closer to the edge
of the sheet that that.

Change any margins that are less (or click the "Fix" button on the warning
message).

Now, eyeball the document carefully. Chances are you will find some
formatting disasters caused by the repositioned margins. Move the content
so that it is inside the new margins.

It's a lot easier of you go to Preferences>View and turn on Text Boundaries,
so you can see where the margins actually ARE!

Hope this helps
