Footer Issue

Have a document that does not show footers regardless of
the view used (the headers DID show up). I worked around
the problem by copying and pasting to a new document and
the issue was resolved. Anyone have an idea what causes
this and how to fix in the future?

I have experience a similar problem and also resolved it
by copying and pasting to a new document. I was unable
to find out what had caused it (I still believe it had to
do with something in the Page Setup, but I can't prove
it.). This gets to be very cumbersome when working with
large documents. If anyone else has any answers, I would
also be interested, for future reference.
