Footer not visible in Word but is on ALL printed documents

Hi,

A friend created a resume in Word and put the name in the footer. The
person's name now prints on absolutely every document that is printed (Web
pages, etc.), not just on Office documents.

I checked her templates - the name is not in there nor is it visible in the
footer of Word docs. It does not appear in Print Preview, but sure enough, it
is on the printed document.

Is there some kind of global computer setting that would cause the name to
show up on all printed pages?

Check the printer Properties. Some printers have a provision for adding a
"Watermark," and this might be a variation.
